All the Best, Bill
Because so many stores and labs are adding in-store
creation of photo books and other "long tail"
products, we're going to concentrate on marketing
methods for these new products over the next few
weeks.
If you've got a great way to sell more cool stuff,
shoot us an email!

your place! So glad your unit is finally
in! Have fun!

Sissy Brody is one of the best known and
most beloved women in Aiken. Involved in
every charity, seen at every event. A
woman of great refinement and boundless
charm.
She's a good friend and a good customer.
She very occasionally hosts tea parties
for little girls. These parties are
auctioned off at the charitable black
tie events and always bring top dollar.
Sissy insists that each child send an
acceptance and a thank-you note, and
teaches them manners and deportment
while having a ball.
Needless to say, I could not ask for a
better evangelist! When I asked if she'd
be willing to appear in some of my
promotions, she said yes.
This morning I had her make a book from
personal photos and gave her the book.
We made a 2nd copy for the store. She
happily agreed to appear in photos and
in an ad that will break this Sunday.
We've also got the same image - in color
- on a big poster in the front window
which invites passersby to come in and
look at the book she made. Second copy,
of course - we want her to show the
original to all her friends.
After the session my store manager Trey
carried the book with him to show to
some nearby customers, but Sissy had
already been into their stores to gush
about it and how wonderful we are. And
since that 10 am session she has been
back and ordered 2 books of a
Christening!
Because she is not an employee, and
everybody who is anybody in our area
knows that her approval is not for sale
- her endorsement is probably one
hundred times as valuable as an ad
featuring me.
Incidentally, the ad is going in the
regional (Carolina) section of the
Augusta Chronicle, and they are giving
me 3 insertions 15" high for under $450.
It's billed as a half page, which is
usually 6 columns by 10". By making it 4
columns by 15" I know the ad will be the
only big ad on the page, and there's
enough white space to make it stand out.
